There has never been a better time to go solar.
By going solar, you'll be saving time, saving money, and most importantly - saving our planet.
Why RA Solar?
Better for the Environment
Solar energy is better for the environment as it generates electricity without emitting greenhouse gases or pollutants. Unlike fossil fuels like coal or natural gas, solar power doesn't release harmful substances such as CO2, SO2, NOx into the atmosphere, aiding in climate change mitigation and air pollution reduction. Moreover, solar panels have a minimal environmental impact regarding water usage and land disturbance compared to traditional energy sources.
Cost Cutting
Although installing solar is a big upfront cost, we do a feasibility for your specific installation where you will see that going solar will cost you at least half of what it will cost you buying electricity from Eskom or your local municipality over a 20 year period.
Increased Home Value
From what we have experienced in the last year people are willing to pay more for a house that already has solar or battery backup and the figures we are getting from the local estate agents are that people are willing to pay at least double of what it cost to install the system.
Planning and Saving
Part of our planning is the feasibility as mentioned in Cost Cutting, but we also do a Helioscope. That shows you how your panels will be arranged on your roof, how much power you will generate every month of the year and total production for the year. All that we use in our feasibility.
Great Savings & Return on Investment
Solar energy works by capturing sunlight using photovoltaic (PV) panels, which convert sunlight into electricity through the photovoltaic effect. When sunlight hits the solar panels, the photons in the sunlight knock electrons loose from atoms in the semiconductor material of the panels, generating a flow of electricity. This direct current (DC) electricity is then converted into alternating current (AC) electricity using an inverter, making it compatible with household appliances and the electrical grid. Solar energy systems can also include batteries to store excess electricity generated during the day for use at night, loadshedding or during periods of low sunlight. This clean and renewable energy source provides a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fossil fuels, reducing carbon emissions and dependence on non-renewable resources.
